ABOUT THIS ITEM
The inclusion of Bitters into the diet is so important- not only do they improve digestion and get bile moving- they nourish the endocrine system (the glands in your body responsible for basically every function) and improve liver function- improving overall health, igniting the digestive fire, getting the salivary glands moving thus aiding in the break down of proteins in food, regulating hormones, and helping to reset digestive patterns.
Adding digestive bitters to the diet helps relieve stomach pain, relieves gas and bloating, helps to curb sugar cravings, relives heartburn and nausea, can regulate blood sugar levels, and will even make your skin healthy and glowing.
Humans evolved eating bitter flavors, yet with the development of the industrialized food system, the bitter flavor is one that has become undesirable, so it is beneficial to add a bitter flavored supplement to your normal diet to improve health.
I make seasonal bitters depending on which plants around me are thriving and what my intuition tells me. These Birch Nocino bitters came to be in a funny dream where a small tree stump grandmother woman told me that it was birch that wanted to be with the nocino and something about growing hair somewhere, i wont repeat her adage here ;) These are quite a nice blend, flavor wise and effectiveness wise. I think these plants really do enjoy being together.
